Never-Before Heard George Carlin Comedy Special Comes Out This Month
It took 15 years, but George Carlin’s special is finally getting a release date.
George Carlin’s HBO comedy special I Kinda Like It When a Lotta People Die was recorded September 10th, 2001 and immediately shelved by Carlin after the tragedies of 9/11 rocked the country the very next day.
Carlin still released a comedy special in the fall of 2001, but it was entirely different than that of the original he’d prepared. His initial special I Kinda Like It When a Lotta People Die will finally see the light of day on September 16, 2016, fifteen years after it was recorded. The audio format will be available for digital download from Amazon and iTunes. You can also buy a CD or vinyl of the hour-long special.
Carlin is renowned for his dark comedy and biting philosophies on politics, religion and all things taboo. He passed away in 2008.
